In Loving Memory of Mr. Hun Touch: Founder of The Rabbit School

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that The Rabbit School Organization shares the passing of our beloved founder and former Executive Director, Mr. Hun Touch. He passed away peacefully on the morning of September 14, 2026, at 9:10 AM, following a brave battle with illness.

During this incredibly difficult time, our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to his family, loved ones, and all those whose lives he touched so deeply throughout his remarkable journey.

Humble Beginnings: The Spark of a Movement

The story of The Rabbit School is the story of a man who refused to look away. In 1997, Mr. Hun Touch was an ordinary schoolteacher. That ordinary life changed forever the day he visited the National Center for Infants and Children.

There, he encountered five children with intellectual disabilities, children whom society at the time believed could not learn.

Mr. Hun Touch did not share that belief. Instead, he recognized that these children simply needed understanding, compassion, and additional support to thrive, and he made the defining decision to act.

Starting with the simplest tools at his disposal, games, songs, movement, and boundless care, he began working with them. Slowly and remarkably, children who had previously been left silent, and whom many had given up on, began to respond, smile, and engage.

A Legacy That Transformed Thousands of Lives

What began as a single dream in a small classroom blossomed into an extraordinary national movement for change. Mr. Hun Touch founded The Rabbit School and dedicated the remainder of his life to championing the rights and education of children and youth with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Thanks to his vision, tireless dedication, and unwavering belief in human potential, thousands of children have found a safe, welcoming space where they can finally learn, grow, play, and discover their true worth.

Carrying the Torch Forward

Mr. Hun Touch’s departure leaves a void that can never truly be filled. However, his spirit lives on in every classroom, every smile, and every milestone achieved by our students.

The Rabbit School remains committed to continuing his legacy. We pledge to keep the doors of education open, inclusive, and welcoming for all the children who are so often left behind, ensuring that his vision shines on for generations to come.
