Welcome to the Rabbit School Organization
The Rabbit School has been working for children with intellectual disabilities in Cambodia for over 25 years. We promote the rights of Children with Intellectual Disabilities, as we believe that they have the same fundamental rights as their fellow citizens to a decent life, with equal dignity and access to education, whatever the origin, nature, or severity of their impairments.

As of 2023, The Rabbit School provides education to 670 children with intellectual disabilities from 4 to 25 years old, of which 369 are girls. Our 16 schools are located in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap Province, Kandal, and Kampong Speu.
With our 62 specialized teachers, we employ an individualized curriculum that caters to the unique needs of each student. By using diverse pedagogical and therapeutic methods, we strive to nurture an inclusive vision of education. Our goal is to integrate children with intellectual disabilities into non-disability classes whenever possible but also to foster shared spaces and activities.
We are dedicated to supporting our children until they reach adulthood and achieve independence. At the age of 16, they have the opportunity to participate in our vocational training program, which combines the teaching of both soft skills and hard skills, along with internships and job placement assistance.
In addition to our comprehensive education program, we also extend our support to 2,800 Out-of-School Children in the four provinces where our schools are located. Among them, 1,237 students were granted scholarships in 2022, with 589 of them being girls. Moreover, we provided livelihood support to 80 families, recognizing the importance of holistic well-being and sustainable livelihoods for our community.
The Rabbit School actively collaborates with various educational stakeholders, including 213 primary school teachers, 108 school directors, officers from Districts of Education, as well as private companies.
Together, we strive to create a society where children with intellectual disabilities are empowered, and given the opportunities they deserve. At The Rabbit School, we are committed to making a lasting impact in the lives of these children and fostering a more inclusive future for all.
